Jack Ingram will attempt to break the world record for most radio interviews in a day by doing 225 interviews over the course of 24 hours starting Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. The singer is promoting his new album, "Big Dreams & High Hopes." A spokesperson for Guinness World Records says that the current record is held by media gurus TJ Walker and Jess Todtfeld who did 96 interviews in 24 hours last June. "When I first went to No. 1 with 'Wherever You Are,' I spent a week on the phone every morning for four or five hours at a time talking to radio stations," Ingram said. "It's a fantastic way to travel the country without going anywhere." Ingram's current single, "Barefood and Crazy," sits at #10 on the Countdown. Asked about how he plans to make it through the effort, Ingram said "caffeine is probably going to be my friend." |
