What is the “Sixty For Sixty” Movement?

As George Strait embarks on his final U.S. tour, The Cowboy Rides Away Tour, we invite fellow artists and fans to help celebrate alongside King George as he approaches his 60th #1 single (across all charts) – before his 61st birthday on May 18th.  “Give It All We Got Tonight,” George’s current single, is Top 20 and climbing and is poised to be the 60th #1 single  of his career, all of which have been represented by MCA Nashville (the only label he has ever called home). He has  more #1’s than any other single artist in history, in any genre, beating both The Beatles (20) and Elvis (18).

With over 68 million albums sold, George Strait has influenced fellow artists and Country music as a whole for
more than 32 years. Take a look at his list of #1 songs and you will see the career of a man and performer who is so respected and so beloved. No one does it better than the King of Country. George Strait represents a generation and a format that is defined by his voice, success, and legacy as “King George.”

As a tribute to George’s incredible career, and his influence on Country music and other recording artists, we invite YOU to help bring awareness to the “Sixty For Sixty” campaign. Help make “Give It All We Got Tonight” George Strait’s 60th #1 single (across all charts), while he’s 60 years old!
